I am very proud of doing speech board and passing. I got a really cool badge and I can where it to school. I would like to thank all the people that commented on my blog. I can't wait to see them next year in 2017 .Next year I will still be I mamaku but I will be in mamaku 1.

Tom Sawyer

Tom Sawyer

This is a fantastic book and it is about a boy named Tom Sawyer. It is an adventure book and is set 150 years ago on the Mississippi River in the South East of USA. I have been learning about the author's purpose. In this book it is to tell us how people lived and how they thought. I think this book is for 9-13 years. It is originally by Mark Twain (his real name was Samuel Clemens) but this book has been retold by M. C. Hall. I found the illustrations by Daniel Strickland dark and gloomy in this graphic novel. I found it historical and with interesting characters.

I think this is a fantastic book and I enjoyed reading it. I am learning about author's purpose and it is to entertain in this book. It is by Charles M Schulz and he is a fantastic author.

The Time Machine

I really enjoyed this book because the author has described it cleverly. I found it inventive and dark. I am learning to find the author's purpose which is to entertain and encourage you to think about what they would do if they had a time machine and where you would go. This book is for 8-12 years and the original author is H.G. Wells's and retold as a parody and graphic novel by Terry Davis.

  

the hounds of baskoiviles

The Hounds of the Baskervilles

I really enjoyed reading the 'Hounds of the Baskervilles'. I found it gripping and mysterious. I am learning about the  author's propose which is to entertain and to try to get you to solve the mystery. The original author is Arthur Cohan Doyle, but this book has been retold by Martin Powell as a graphic novel. The 'Hounds of the Baskervilles' is about a creature that is a ghost hound and the main characters are detectives called Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson.

I really enjoyed reading this book and It was really fun to read. I think it is for 7-14 years and the author is Scott Sonneborn . I Love this book because it is about my favourite super hero and the Author has rote this book really well. Its about a bad guy that takes over a news company and frames batman but in some ways it can actually happen in real life.
