We have been learning about describing and we have done some work describing our teacher. Here is a picture.
The big game
Another thing we have been doing is a summary of a story of a school journal. The story we have been using is called The Big Game. Here is a screen shot.
I'll make that a challenge for you Morgan, have you got any funny jokes to make me laugh? What are some other descriptive words you could use? For example: what is it that makes you think I'm nice? What other words could you use to describe my hair, is it messy, smooth, thick or frizzy? What sort of golden, is it golden blonde, brown or yellow? Just a few ideas to add to your description to make it stronger. Remember a description should tell someone who does not know me about what I look like and who I am as a person.
ReplyDeleteRemember to reread your summary. Ask yourself questions like: does it sound right? Does it say what I want it to say about the story? If the the reader had not read the story would it tell them what the story was about?
